- Stall 1: Taken by pole-sitter Tyler Reddick (#45). So What? This provides the easiest exit in the field, crucial for maintaining the lead during Stage 1's mandatory fuel stops.
- Stall 6: Occupied by Kyle Larson (#5). Why? Stall 7 is vacant. So What? This provides an "opening" in front of Larson, allowing him to pull out of his stall much faster and with less risk of contact.
