Postponed to Saturday Night • Corey Day on Pole • v3.0 Cumulative
Charlotte Motor Speedway
Sat. May 23, 8:00 PM CDT
POLE: Corey Day (Metric)
TV: FS1 / NRN / SiriusXM
STATUS: Postponed from Friday

Tech Section: Blind Setups & The "Midnight Slate"

With practice and qualifying washed out, crew chiefs face an engineering nightmare. Why? Zero track laps means unmanaged ride heights and untested aero-balances. So What? The "Green" track (rubber washed away by rain) combined with plummeting midnight temperatures creates a high-grip environment where aerodynamic downforce will be at its peak, increasing the violence of snaps over Turn 3 bumps.

Goodyear Technicals (D-6110 LS / D-6160 RS): Features a brand-new right-side construction. Why? To improve high-load durability. So What? Drivers must find the technical limit of this new tire during the first 30 laps of the race without any prior time trials.

Engine Power: Late-night racing provides cooler, denser air. So What? Engines will produce maximum horsepower, testing the mechanical durability of cooling systems over the 201-mile distance.

Starting Grid: Top 10 (Metric-Based)
