Tech Section: 2026 Intermediate Configuration

NASCAR shifts from the short-track package to the 2026 Intermediate Aero Package for Las Vegas. Unlike the 3-inch spoiler used at Phoenix, Vegas utilizes a full spoiler and complete diffuser strakes to maximize downforce on the high-banked 1.5-mile oval.

Aero Mandate: Universal A-post flaps are now required. These body-post flaps deploy with roof flaps to prevent liftoff during spins. Underneath the flap, surfaces must be painted bright orange for high-visibility inspection.

Power Plant: The Next Gen engine will run an unrestricted 750 Horsepower configuration. Combined with the 20-degree banking, expect qualifying speeds to sustain the 185-188 mph range.

Goodyear Tire Specs: Teams are provided with a multi-zone compound designed for heavy wear over 50-60 lap runs on the abrasive Las Vegas asphalt. Tire management will be the defining variable as heat-related fall-off impacts handling late in the run.
