Tech Section: Intermediate Consolidation
The Truck Series utilizes the Goodyear Racing Eagle 15-inch tire package. Why? This setup is part of Goodyear's consolidation of the intermediate track package. While the Cup and Xfinity series have run this specific compound in 2026, this is the first outing for the Trucks.
Goodyear Technicals (D-6110 LS / D-6140 RS): These tires feature inner liners, which are mandatory for tracks one mile and longer. Why? To provide a safety buffer in the event of a high-speed deflation on the 1.5-mile quad-oval. So What? The added weight of the inner liner can affect the "feel" of the truck on entry into the reconfigured Turns 1 and 2, which are notoriously "one-groove."
